There is the classic road bike which is good as an all-rounder then the endurance bikes for long distances or aerodynamic road bikes which includes the Aria from Bianchi.
💡 About the bike
Facts
The Bianchi Aria Disc is a performance oriented road bike with good aerodynamics and focus on speed. The goal was to expand the range of Bianchi's aero range with an all-around renewed model with a highly aerodynamic pressfit frame and fork system with a FSA Orbit C-33 headset. This makes the Aria aero road bike ideally suited for any race on the road including triathlon events.
The Aria and its carbon aero frame delivers the ultimate performance with a perfect blend of focused racing geometry and wind tunnel tested design. To cope with the wind resistance, the Aria has a precision-trimmed Bianchi Aria Disc frame with integrated fork: the Bianchi Full Carbon Disc 1.1/4">1.1/8", thru axle 12x100mm which has an advanced shape and racing geometry.
The wiring is integrated into the carbon aero frame. For speed lovers the Bianchi Aria is exactly the right bike. Whether in a triathlon with aerodynamic handlebars and triathlon configuration or at a road race, the Bianchi Aria helps to get the best out of you. The Aria is available in the following variants: Aria Shimano 105 11sp, Aria Ultegra 11sp, Aria Rival eTap AXS 12sp, Aria Ultegra Di2 12 sp and Bianchi Aria E-Road.
History
At the young age of 20 Edoardo Bianchi opened his first workshop in the center of Milan. This happened in 1885 and although bicycles were just one commodity among many in the beginning it shows how the legendary Bianchi bicycle brand was born with the iconic Celeste color. Edoardo was an avid cyclist himself and his added curiosity for mechanical things laid the foundation for Bianchi Bikes.
As their popularity grew the Società Anonima Edoardo Bianchi was formed in 1907 under the management of Gian Fernando Tommaselli. It was also around this time that the Celeste color was created which would later become the trademark for Bianchi. Besides the problems caused by the 2nd World War they also had to cope with the death of Gian Fernando Tommaselli in 1944. But even under the most difficult cirumstandes Bianchi continued his winning ways shining with successes in the 1947 Giro d'Italia and the 1949 Tour de France with the Celeste jersey.
Notoriety first skyrocketed in Italy and then slowly grew across the world. "The Pirate" Marco Pantani, with his legendary bandana cemented that reputation in 1998 with victories in the Giro d'Italia and Tour de France. Bianchi has been working to improve the bicycle for over 130 years and there is no end in sight. Over the years Bianchi has become a lifestyle brand with Café & Cycles stores in Stockholm, Milan and Tokyo.
In terms of regular bikes Bianchi has 3 different divisions: the road segment, the gravel section and bikes for the city. The road segment is divided into road bike or race division, endurance bikes, cyclocross and TT / triathlon. In addition to the gravel bikes you'll find cross-country bikes in the range as well as the city fitness series. Furthermore Bianchi also offers e-bikes such as the Bianchi Aria E-Road or the Impulso e-bike.
⚙️ Components and Equipment
Quality over quantity for the component manufacturers
Well-known manufacturers such as Shimano, SRAM, Selle Italia, Fulcrum Racing and Vittoria ensure high-quality equipment Bianchi Aria road bikes. Furthermore products from Bianchi's own development department are used just as frequently.
Groupsets
- For the groupsets which include shifters, rear derailleur and front derailleur so-called flat mount systems are use. These are mainly from Shimano or SRAM. From Shimanothe Shimano 105 is used, as well as the Shimano Ultegra and the Shimano Ultegra Di2. From SRAM in turn the SRAM Rival ETAP AXS is mounted. The Di2 Ultegra has been around since 2009 while the SRAM Rival ETAP AXS, which comes without wiring was launched in 2015. The newer models such as the Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 and Ultegra Di2 have been available without cables since the end of 2021. For the crankset either the Shimano Ultegra FC-R8000, Shimano 105 FC-R7000 or the Shimano Ultegra crank are used as well as the Sram Rival D1 DUB.
Brakes
- Rim brakes still work with cable pull and are especially popular with beginners, due to the easier tire change. Disc brakes have a greatly improved braking performance which provides the desired performance even in the rain. This is also the reason why more and more manufacturers are switching to disc brakes. AT older models you'll almost find exclusively rim brakes. The brakes for the Bianchi Aria Disc models include the Shimano BR-RS505 Flat Mount as well as the Shimano BR-R8070 matching the groupset.
Drive Unit
- For powerful support during your rides Bianchi relies on the proven quality of Ebikemotion for both e-bike models.
Saddle / Seatpost
- For the seatpost they rely on the in-house product the Bianchi Reparto Corse Aero XR4/XR3 full carbon seatpost and for the saddle they rely on the quality of Selle Italia with the Selle Royal Seta S1. The Bianchi Aria E-Road bikes are equipped with the Velomann 1285 URN saddle. Combined with the frame size and proper cockpit adjustment you'll achieve the ideal riding position for a comfortable ride.
Handlebar & Stem
- When it comes to the stem and handlebars Bianchi uses quality from its own innovations: like the Reparto Corse 3D Forged Alloy for the stem and the Reparto Corse Aero Compact Alloy 6061 for the handlebars. The Reparto Corse series is a guarantee for reliable and fast components whether for a race or a leisurely Sunday ride with the family and all that is available in stylish Italian Bianchi design. For the handlebar tape the La Spirale Ribbon Cork is attached.
Wheels / Tires
- For the wheels they make use of Fulcrum Racing: like the Fulcrum Racing 818 Disc Brake, Aluminum 622x19c 2WF-R Tubeless Ready wheelset. For tires they rely on the Vittoria brand from Italy. Among others the Vittoria Rubino IV, Vittoria Zaffiro Pro V and the Vittoria Rubino Pro are used.

- Pedals can be optionally added to the shopping cart or a water bottle and sensible clothing.
